No locks. No hidden losses. One MLB decision a day.
SportsEdgePicks is built around a simple standard: publish the daily decision, track the result, show the risk, and preserve bankroll when the model does not find a bet worth taking.
Do you guarantee wins?
No. Anyone guaranteeing betting wins is not being honest. The goal is to identify risk-adjusted MLB opportunities, size them responsibly, and track every published result transparently.
What is Play of the Day?
Play of the Day is the model's best daily MLB decision. Sometimes that is a bet. Sometimes it is PASS. The goal is not to force action; it is to make the best bankroll decision available that day.
Why would the model PASS?
Because betting every day is not discipline. The model can PASS when confidence, edge, price, data quality, or Kelly sizing does not justify risk.
What does the model look at?
The model is baseball-first. It weighs starting pitcher matchup, projected starter innings, bullpen exposure, lineup projections, pitch mix, park/weather context, market price, situational signals, and Kelly-based bankroll sizing.
What is Kelly sizing?
Kelly sizing is a bankroll method that estimates how much to risk when the model believes it has an edge. SportsEdgePicks uses it conservatively. The point is to avoid oversized bets and protect bankroll when the edge is thin.
What is CLV?
CLV means closing-line value. If a play is posted at -110 and the market closes at -125 on the same side, that usually means the posted price beat the close. Over time, positive CLV can be evidence that a model is finding value before the market fully adjusts.
CLV does not guarantee any single pick will win.
Do you hide losses?
No. The public record is part of the product. Posted picks should stay visible, including losses and pushes.
Are trends guaranteed edges?
No. Trends and angles start as research. They should not affect Play of the Day or Kelly sizing until they survive sample-size checks, ROI review, CLV review, and point-in-time validation.
Why focus on MLB?
MLB gives us daily slates, pitcher-specific matchups, bullpen usage, park/weather context, and rich Statcast data. That creates a better environment for a focused model than trying to be a generic all-sports pick site from day one.
Want the daily decision?
Pro unlocks the paid daily decision. Richer matchup notes, risk context, and CLV details are rolled out only after the underlying data is verified.
